Larry King

In celebration of his 50 years in broadcasting, this piece was created to 'see if I could do it!" to see if I could create a likeness in low (bas) relief. Carved in a 16" x 16" x 1/4" thick piece of Brazilian Black slate, it achieves a likeness in 1/8" or less of stone.

It took approximately 300 hours to (hand) carve and polish this piece, but I think it was worth it!
